The Journalism Program, Department of Communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, is seeking applicants for a professional faculty position to develop the Program's growing emphasis on converged media, including print, broadcast and online. Substantial professional experience in converging media is required, as well as familiarity with online media. Broadcast experience is desirable. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per year, liaison with campus and off-campus media, and further development of this new focus through fund-raising. A master's degree in an appropriate field is preferred, but unusually qualified applicants with extensive experience and a bachelor's degree will be considered.

The appointment is one to three years, non-tenure-track, with the possibility of renewal. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
