[MGP-Forum Announce] Boston site for summit on reducing childhood commercialization -- Oct. 26-28

The Boston-based Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood (CCFC) has scheduled 
its fifth-annual summit  for Oct. 26-28 at Wheelock College.  "Consuming Kids: 
Marketing in Schools and Beyond," will include activists and scholars debating 
what can be done about  perceived excessive marketing in schools, the use of 
sex and violence to sell products, commercialism's impact on learning, culture 
and values.  CCFC is based at the Judge Baker Children's Center in Boston. A 
kickoff event Thurs., Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. features an evening with Raffi, the 
children's troubadour, activist and author, who will receive CCFC's 
second-annual Fred Rogers Integrity Award.  Among speakers will be Alvin 
Poussaint, David Elkind, Susan Linn, Joe Kelly, Daine Levin, Michael Rich and
