[MGP-Forum Announce] Journalism blamed for higher ratings

This could be a headline from The Onion, but instead, it's in my hometown paper.

Perhaps we can get a $50,000 Ford Foundation grant to study how doing journalism can also boost the traffic of online news outlets. It might even work for newspapers, by jove!

"While CBS has been mired in third place, ABC is in a weekly neck-and-neck race with NBC for the evening news ratings crown. Don't expect gloating from Gibson. It's not his style. He's an old-school journalist who claims not to watch the ratings, and doesn't fret over the fading relevance of the evening news, where audiences are shrinking, the average age of viewers is 60 and many in the West Coast are still commuting home when Gibson is first looking into the camera at the top of the newscast."
